Following their 2020 concert series celebrating Beethoven’s anniversary, violinist Marko Pop Ristov and pianist Flavio Villani plan to take New Zealand audiences on an exciting 'Music Tour through Europe' in 2021.

"The travel limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic have made it more difficult to experience cultural events abroad, so we have decided to bring Europe to NZ halls: we have created this concert series so we can all travel through music. We will treat our audiences to a variety of masterpieces from different European countries."

This programme will be touring in Whangarei, Waipu, Wellington, Greytown and Auckland.

The duo started playing together in 2016 as members of the Villani Piano Quartet. In 2019 they founded the European-based chamber group Orion Piano Trio, touring to several countries in Europe before the pandemic. The strength of this extensive journey of music-making together ensures the duo can bring excellent and memorable experiences to local music halls across New Zealand.
