About us

We are a collective of passionate and dedicated piano teachers in New Zealand. We have together come to create this site for greater accessibility and unity.

Reasons put into plain language:

  1. Accessibility — It can be difficult to find a good piano teacher. We want to provide a list of fully qualified piano teachers who have an established and excellent reputation. Our nationwide teachers are also established performers and accompanists who not only teach to the highest standards but pride themselves on providing mentorship to young musicians.

  2. Community — Piano teachers usually work independently. This nationwide teachers’ network is a huge benefit for teachers and their students alike. This creates an opportunity for like-minded career piano teachers to meet and discuss ideas. We collectively focus on on-going professional development, extending our knowledge around the latest development in research in piano pedagogy.

3. Performance opportunities — We aim to organise performance and masterclass opportunities for the students under the tutelage of our teacher collective. Each teachers can gather together students of similar level to collaborate and perform.

4. Legacy — We aspire to leave a legacy for the next generation of pianists and piano teachers by forming a network which will last.
